Lyn Collingwood discusses if she plans to go back to Home & Away.

Fans of Summer Bay are unfortunately destined to be disappointed. Lyn Collingwood, the neighborhood busybody from Home and Away, will not be shouting “Yoo-hoo!” despite their recent push to bring her back to the show. “It’s just me!” before long.

Fans of Home and Away recently flooded social media with pleas for the return of Lyn’s beloved character. Lyn costarred with Peter Vroom as her slow-witted son, Lance, on the first two seasons of Home and Away. Before retiring in 2012, she later made a comeback as a regular in 1999.

Lyn Collingwood frequently added humor and style to her scenes.

Highlights of Colleen’s story, as Summer Bay’s gossip with a golden heart, included an accidental fire at the Bayside Diner, a temporary gambling addiction, and a near-fatal cancer scare. Not to be overlooked is Colleen’s other claim to fame, which was her victory in the 1959 Miss Groper pageant.

During the height of her Home and Away celebrity, Lyn Collingwood was recognizable everywhere she went, whether she was driving her car down the highway or shopping in David Jones department stores.

Lyn eventually quit Home and Away due to the fact that she had reached “a certain age.” She stated at the time that she would particularly miss working alongside Ada Nicodemou and Lynne McGranger. However, it is evident that many memories of the persona that fans adored or detested endure.

In addition to being a life member of the left-leaning New Theatre, she is shortly to publish a book, organizes monthly pub play readings, and is a member of historical organizations for the suburbs of Glebe and Marrickville.

Lyn Collingwood Home and Away

Will Home and Away see Peter Vroom again?

But what about Lance, Colleen’s son?

Peter Vroom, Lyn Collingwood’s former on-screen son, is eager for Lance to make a comeback, but Lyn has no plans to return to Home and Away!

Currently residing in Los Angeles, Peter, 56, teaches meditation. According to the father of two, he changed careers because he was no longer “passionate” about performing.
