Prince William’s gorgeous presence at Earthshot Prize Awards

Joining a star-studded lineup at the fourth Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town, South Africa, the Prince of Wales stated his desire “to champion the dreamers, the thinkers and the innovators from every walk of life, who share an ambition to build a better, more sustainable world.”

As he began and ended his address with lines in nine African languages, including Swahili, Zulu, and Sesotho, the audience cheered.

Wearing a vintage jacket and a Prince of Wales check blazer that he got from a local vintage store in London, together with sustainable trainers from Purified Shoes that are biodegradable and contain no plastic, William was flying the flag for sustainable fashion as he arrived on the green carpet.

Star Billy Porter and supermodels Heidi Klum and Winnie Harlow were among the guests at the glitzy Earthshot Prize Awards presentation, which honored creative solutions to “repair the planet” and was held in a sustainable eco-dome.

France, Ghana, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and Nepal are among the 15 Earthshot finalists that Prince William met with earlier in the day at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

Protecting and restoring nature, cleaning our air, revitalizing our oceans, creating a waste-free world, and addressing our climate are the five categories, or Earthshot Prize Awards.
