Netizens Are Curious About Loomis’s Ethnicity

Following a disastrous rendition of the national anthem on a live C-SPAN broadcast of a third-party presidential debate, singer Loomis recently found herself at the center of media attention.

Recently, singer Loomis gained notoriety for her poorly executed rendition of the national anthem during a live broadcast. She has Sicilian heritage and Italian-American ancestry.

Singer Loomis’ Mixed Italian-American Ethnicity along with Sicilian Roots

Loomis is from Pacoima, California, and was born on April 2, 1989. She has Sicilian heritage and Italian American ancestry.  Her biggest musical influence came from her father, who played in a blues band; blues and funk were always present in their home.

She recently disclosed amid the national anthem issue that her father is an Army veteran, which added to her anxiety during the performance.

However, Loomis was emotionally impacted for a long time by her mother’s battle with addiction, which caused her to leave the family when she was only two years old.

Loomis started singing and playing music to help her deal with the hurt of being abandoned.

Although Loomis’ recent incident during the playing of the national anthem may have momentarily obscured her musical abilities, it has also sparked conversations on the difficulties faced by performers under pressure.

Singer Loomis’ Recent Performance

Her experience may serve as a crucial reminder as she goes on that even the most accomplished artists experience setbacks; what really distinguishes their craft, however, is how they handle those situations.

When Loomis’ performance took an unexpected turn on Wednesday, she was asked to perform the “Star-Spangled Banner” in front of Randall Terry (Constitution Party), Dr. Jill Stein (Green Party), and Chase Oliver (Libertarian Party) in Los Angeles.

Loomis’s voice broke during the phrase about “the rockets’ red glare” while she was singing acapella, and she said she was currently preoccupied.

Sadly, Loomis was told by the broadcast crew off-stage that they were live-streaming and could not rewind, so she had to go on in spite of her discomfort.
